A new meaning for Lindsey after facing serious illness. "I think I appreciate life more than most people do. I
don't make a big deal out of little things." When she faces ordinary teen struggles like peer pressure, her reaction
now is, "Oh, big whoop -- people think I'm a dork at school."
Her disease now in remission, 14-year-old Lindsey is helping other kids facing serious illness. As chair-person for
the National Junior Honor Society at her school, she is working to raise money for "Kids for Wish Kids," a program of
the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The money raised will be used to provide a trip or other wish for a sick child.
"I like to help other kids with things they're going through," Lindsey said.
